Associate Production Coordinator  

Mainstream International is a fashion focused textile firm looking for a motivated, organized, and hard-working individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with production and has a background in home textile.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Marketing to create a program

  • Goes out to factory / overseas teams for costing

  • Meets with marketing to determine items and specs to be quoted.

  • Responsible for customer costing and creating margins for management 

  • When order arrives, works with marketing to review orders, checks sell prices, factory, port, details for accuracy to what was quoted 

  • Confirms/ recap quantity and ship date to Shanghai/ India / Pakistan as well as obtain deadline dates needed to ship on time

  • Follow up on timeline with marketing, packaging, factory to keep schedule

  • Create sku's / UPC ** may have to be done at time of quoting

  • Creates PO /SO in system then sends over to overseas team

  • Follows all order details with Shanghai/ India / Pakistan until shipment

  • Follows up for packaging, carton markings, price tickets 

  • POE orders - proof payment request so shipping docs can be sent

  • POE orders - follow up for documents from factory and forward to logistics team

  • Sends customer documents as needed - sales contracts, proforma invoices, packing lists etc.

  • Trouble shoot all details for all orders - from buyers, factories, agents - any problems that come across

 

Skills Required:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a comparable role or company

  • Background in Home Textile, Fashion, Apparel and/or Accessories

  • Must be proficient Excel

  • Must be good with numbers

  • Strong analytical, computer, and organizational skills

  • Willingness to learn, team player, sense of urgency, strong communication skills

  • Candidate must be organized and able to prioritize workload & email inbox

Illustrator/Textile Designer

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create original artwork for kitchen, tabletop, bedding and bath product lines, including both brands and private label

  • Execute print repeats, color separate, recolor and match color

  • Manage design process from inspiration to production ready factory specs

  • Participate in design and trend research, identifying new trends, techniques, color ideas and product concepts

Required Skills:

  • 5-7 + years experience in design for soft home textiles

  • Excellent Photoshop skills

  • Understanding of print process and limitation as well as product construction

  • Solid understanding of color theory, must have a good eye for color matching

  • Must be a versatile, self-motivated, innovative individual who pays close attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment and meet/exceed deadlines

  • Eager to remain up-to-speed on design trends in consumer home market

Product Development Coordinator

 

Responsibilities:
Sample management

  • Track and follow up with factories on status of samples via email. 

  •  Update daily sample trackers with tracking & product information pulled from emails with factories and internal departments

  • Upon receipt of samples, review against standard with design & pd. Provide product and color comments to factories

  •  Upon approval of samples; photograph, label & organize 

  • Assist marketing team on sample requests

  • Keep sample area clean and organized

 

Other ongoing tasks:

  • Help prepare brand boards and visuals that are unique to each licensed brand we work with

  • Track and prepare comprehensive spreadsheets of factory costs for the different products within each brand

  • Maintain spreadsheets of artwork and licensing paperwork

  • Keep design and pd reference swatches and materials organized

  • Prepare branded marketing presentations on Microsoft PowerPoint for customer review

  • Open packages received from factories and passing out to each department

  • Ship out packages to customers and overseas factories

  • Help with preparation of sales meetings 

  • Assist with the set up and breakdown of the showroom for market and customer meetings

  • Help to keep showroom clean and organized

 

Required skills:

  •  Proficient with Microsoft office suite- especially Excel and Power Point.

  •  Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator is a plus but not required.

  •  Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborative & adaptable

  • A keen eye for detail & color and the ability to identify lifestyle trends and aesthetics

  • Able to work independently and problem solve  

  • We are looking for someone who is passionate about home textile products. While experience is great, we are willing to train the right person
